ENCORE! Theatre will be presenting the Adventures of Tom Sawyer as its first production in 2009.

The musical is an adaptation of the successful Broadway Play. The play is under the direction of Mark Mannette, professor of theatre at St. Andrews College, and features the talents of over 30 local performers.

The productions will be staged at the Storytelling Arts Center in Downtown Laurinburg.

Dates are as follows: Jan. 30 at 7:30, Jan. 31 at 2p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Feb. 1 at 2:00pm, Feb. 6 at 7:30p m. Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Adult tickets are $10 and children’s and senior citizen’s tickets are $8 and will be available through cast members or at the door.
