The senior games began April 26 and officially ended May 8, although one rain-delayed event was set to be made up on May 9. For almost one week Logan Ward was the fastest who ever ran a mile in Scotland High School track history. That was until John Holloway broke the record six days later. Ward ran the mile in 4:56 at a home meet on April 25, which was the fastest time on record. Coach Richard Bailey said Scotland’s official records date back to 2009. The Scotland golf team has qualified for the regional playoffs. The Scots earned a spot in the eastern regional by clinching third place in the final match of the regular season earlier this week at Pinehurst.
