Scots draw with Pirates
Greta Griswold scored two goals to lead Scotland High School to a 2-2 draw with Lumberton on Monday. Both goals came from free kicks, and both were from approximately 40 yards out. Scots fall to Raiders on senior day
The Scots tennis team was defeated in a close contest with their rivals from Richmond, falling 4-5 on senior day. While the team only has one true senior, four players were honored as part of the final home match of the regular season. Carter Dold, who is graduating, lost to Andrew Balzer 4-6, 2-6. Monley commits to Pembroke
Jonissa Monley officially committed to UNC Pembroke on Thursday morning. Monley, who played forward on Scotland High School’s women’s basketball team, signed her letter of intent at the school surrounded by her coaches and her mother. Monley said she chose UNC Pembroke because of it’s proximity to home. She said her other two options were UNC Asheville and Campbell University, in Buies Creek.
