It’s the Heartworm Bunch. Dorothy, Billy Bob, Ranger, Lydia, Foster, Rascal, Ebony, Elvis and Watford have all tested positive for heartworms. We need to get them cured before we can make them available for adoption. They’re all terrific dogs and would make great pets, so it would be a shame that a small parasite would be the only thing that would keep them from living long and happy lives with a family of their own. The mass of fish found dead this week in Leith Creek between Laurinburg and East Laurinburg has been cleared away, though the cause of the kill may remain unknown for several weeks, according to officials.
