From left, Scotland Christian Academy students Kayla Locklear, Aaron Chavis, Lisa Banh, and Melissa Villaronga took third place in the geometry team competition in UNC Pembroke’s Regional Math Contest on March 21. More than 100 competitors from throughout the region competed in the subjects of algebra I, algebra II, and geometry. The examinations were compiled by faculty in UNCP’s Mathematics and Computer Science Department.

AAA Carolinas thinks a 16-cent drop in gas prices and a forecast of pleasant weather could lead motorists to do some traveling during the Easter weekend.
