Gas drop drives travel
AAA Carolinas thinks a 16-cent drop in gas prices and a forecast of pleasant weather could lead motorists to do some traveling during the Easter weekend.
Since peaking at $3.80 on Feb. 22, the average cost of a gallon of gas in North Carolina has fallen to $3.64. The price was $3.55 a gallon for most stations in Scotland County.
