The work of local photographers will be featured at an exhibition beginning March 29 at the Story Telling Arts Center in Laurinburg.
The opening of the ARTScotland sponsored exhibition is scheduled to coincide with the opening of the Storytelling Festival of the Carolinas.
On display will be the photographs of a number of Scotland County photographers, ranging from flowers to architecture, representing their visions of the county.
Featured photographers include Whit Newton, Kemp Stewart, Rooney Coffman, Ashley Bryant, John McRae, Trish Dooling, Jim McMillan, Essie Canada and Kenyetta McLaurin.
The exhibition will remain on view through April 11, during the operating hours of “Coffee, Tea and Thee” located in The Storytelling and Arts Center from 7 to 11 a.m. and by appointmentment.
The exhibition will also be open for a concert on April 10 featuring “A New York Guitar Duo.”
The Storytelling and Arts Center is located at 131 S. Main Street in Laurinburg.
ARTScotland is a local group comprised of volunteers and artists from Scotland County, meeting monthly to celebrate and enhance “the visual, literary and performing arts in Scotland County by encouraging creating opportunities for enriching arts experiences.”
