A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at Cool Spring United Methodist Church in Laurinburg. The Rev. George McDougald, Jr. will officiate.
He is survived by his sister Leola Avery of Greensboro, uncle Franklin Avery of Laurinburg, and best friend Steve Bethea of Ocala, Fla.
McPhatter Funeral Home is serving the family.
