A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by the Rev. Rodney Nicholas. A private interment will be held at a later date in Hillside Memorial Park.
Barbara was born in Scotland County on Aug. 3, 1942, daughter of the late Eugene and Bertha Hinson Clark. She was a veteran that proudly served as a nurse with the United States Army. She also served with the Army National Guard and then retired from a career with Civil Service. She traveled many states with her career, but always considered Scotland County her home. Barbara remained a member of Friendship Holiness Church.
A brother, Ronnie Eugene Clark, also preceded her in death.
Barbara is survived by her children, daughter Victoria Rust of California and sons James Rust and wife Pamela of St. John’s Ferry, Vt. and Richard A. Rust of Boston, Mass., three grandchildren: Mariah, Brandon and Paul, one great-grandchild, special uncles Everette Hinson of Laurel Hill and Lester Hinson of Stedman, nephews Ronnie Clark II, Greg Clark, and Eric Clark, special cousin Shirley Goodwin of Laurel Hill, and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
