The following is an update on several former gridiron and wrestling standouts from Scotland High School.

Hilee Taylor- Defensive End, Carolina Panthers

Taylor, a former Scotland High and North Carolina standout, has played in four games for the Panthers this season, accumulating one tackle.

Terrell Manning-Redshirt freshman linebacker, North Carolina State

The 2008 Scotland graduate has accumulated 35 tackles (19 solo), along with a pair of forced fumbles and an interception in 11 games for the Wolfpack this season.

Tony Robertson-Junior defensive end, Appalachian State

Robertson has compiled 11 tackles (three solo) in nine games (two starts) this season for the Mountaineers, who play South Carolina State in the first round of the FCS playoffs Saturday.

Justin McLean- Receiver/kick returner, Malone (Canton, OH)

McLean put up solid numbers at receiver and on special teams for the Pioneers (4-6) this season. The 2007 graduate caught 34 balls (second on team) for 518 yards (second) and pair of scores. He also led the team with 22 kick returns for 567 yards. He also has nine punt returns for 66 yards and 63 rushing yards.

Colby McCanna- Punter, Catawba

McCanna has returned from ACL surgery to post impressive numbers for the Indians this year. The senior had 34 punts for 1,148 yards, including nine fair catches. Of his 34 punts, seven on them landed inside the 20.

Byron McKnight- Defensive End, South Carolina

McKnight has seen action in seven games for the Gamecocks (6-5) this season.

Wrestling

Mitchell Johnson- UNC-Greensboro, 133-pound

Johnson, a senior, saw action at the Pembroke Classic and went 3-2 over the tournament including a win by pin.

Alejandro Soto-Perez- UNC-Greensboro, 149-pound

After red-shirting last season following a transfer from UNC-Pembroke, Soto-Perez has competed in one dual meet and a pair of tournaments. He finished 2-2 with a pin at the Pembroke Classic and finished 1-2 with a pin at the NC State open.
