Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Springfield Church of God. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband Albert "Gene" Saunders, Jr., her son Albert "Gene" Saunders III and his wife Abby Saunders, their children Truitt and Barrett of Hampstead, her daughter Courtney Paige Saunders of Laurinburg, parents Rufus and Ruby Rogers of Laurinburg,
her brother Darrell Rogers of Jessup, Ga., her sister Janet Mudd and husband Andy Mudd, and their children Heather and Andrew of Laurinburg, her brothers Steven Rogers of Laurinburg and Michael Simmons of Lumberton, and multiple other nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
Visitation will be from 10–11 a.m. Tuesday at the Springfield Church of God.
McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium is serving the family.
