Pauline Fields (Kute) McBryde of Red Springs died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009 in Baptist Hospital of Cocke County in Newport, Tenn. at the age of 79.

Mrs, McBryde was born in Robeson County on May 23, 1930 to the late Lacy and Pauline Fields. Two brothers, Raymond and Larry Fields, preceded her in death. She was a member of the Red Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church and she retired from Burlington Industries in Raeford in the mid 90s.

Survivors are her son Marcus (Marc) McBryde and his wife Bobbie of Cosby, Tenn.; one brother, Garrett Fields and his wife Martha of Laurinburg; two sisters, Shirley F. Anderson and Deanna F. Jackson, both of Athens, Ala.; two grandchildren, George McBryde of Paragould, Ark. and Bonnie McBryde of Cosby; two uncles, Fred Fields and his wife Margaret of Carthage and Warren Ross and his wife Charlene of Kingsport, Tenn.; one aunt, Elsie Egan of Red Springs; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 220 East 4th Ave., Red Springs. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 at Red Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Chris Graves officiating. Burial will be in the Alloway Cemetery.

Arrangements for the family are in the care of Crumpler Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Red Springs.
