A graveside service will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery in Gibson at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2012, officiated by Pastor J.W. Williams. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Purcell Funeral Home in Laurinburg.
He is survived by his wife Jessie Faye Coates Norton, sons Christopher W. Norton and Daniel M. Norton, stepdaughter Elizabeth K. Coates, mother Carol Morris (Glen Mills), father Johnny Norton, brother Jamie Norton (Rachel Smith), sister Lisa Bumgarder (Brandon), brother-in-law Keith M. Coates, uncles George Norton, Ronnie Norton, and Pete Maynor, aunts Tamar Norton and Carol Maynor, stepmother Janie Troublefield, stepsisters Christy Jacobs, Sudie Odom, Martha Troublefield, and Betty Jo Jones, stepbrothers Johnny James, Lee, and David Troublefield, six neices, and five nephews.
