The Southeastern Soccer Academy together with Scotland Youth Soccer Association and Scotland County Parks and Recreation will host a free soccer coaching clinic on Saturday Feb. 9.

Taking place at the James L. Morgan Complex from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the clinic will help coaches prepare, organize and structure training sessions for a season. The event will be hosted by Soccer Association for Youth (SAY) director of coaching Neil Bradford.

Seminars to take place at the clinic include team management skills, exercises and methods of coaching, and the role of parents and coaches in an student athlete’s life. Coaches who enroll are required to bring a soccer ball.

The event will offer soccer tutelage as well as entertainment for those who participate. To register, please contact Scotland County Parks and Recreation at 910-277-2585 by Feb. 7.
