Sue was born on March 8, 1966 in Scotland County, daughter of the late Woodrow Strong and Lillian Callahan. She was a devoted and loving homemaker. She attended Northview Harvest Ministries and enjoyed visiting family and friends and fishing.
She was also preceded in death by brothers James Keith Berry and Tony Dallas Locklear.
Sue is survived by her husband Harrell Grooms of the home, sons James Matthew “Matt” King and Kurt Nicholas King of Laurinburg, her sister Madeline “Lulu” King of Laurinburg, and six grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
