FAYETTEVILLE- The Scotland junior varsity boys basketball team placed five players in double figures as they knocked off Jack Britt, 65-60, Tuesday night.

"Our defense dominated the night," Scotland coach James Bethea said. "We were used about three different defenses.”

The one achilles heel on the night for the Scots was free throws. They shot just 11-of-26 from the charity stripe.

“We shot free throws very poorly,” said Bethea. “It is definitely something that we need to improve on."

Donte' Nicholson led the way for the Scots with 15 points. Caison Murphy and Travis Wall added 13 and 12 respectively while Juwan Petty had 11. Dominique Green rounded out the double digit scorers with 10.

Scotland will host Pine Forest on Monday.
