Scotland Memorial Foundation recently played host to a special group of donors — members of The Highland Society.
Scotland Memorial Foundation created The Highland Society to thank and recognize those people, businesses and organizations that have made significant contributions totaling at least $1000 in a calendar year.
The Society was established in 2002 and hosted its inaugural recognition dinner in 2003. Eleven years later the Foundation trustees remain humbled by the members who continue to give at this level.
“Each year, we are humbled by the fact that even in the tough economic times we have experienced in our community, region and nation, the number of donors who support the Foundation at this extraordinary level continues to grow,” said Wayne Hobbs, who served as master of ceremonies for the evening. “This evening is meant as a time of fellowship and appreciation of your generosity.”
Guy McCook, vice chairman of Scotland Memorial Foundation, introduced the newest members of the Highland Society:

McCook presented each new member with a recognition pin.
“The Highland Society has been an extremely effective tool encouraging the community to annually support the programs and services of the health care system through the Foundation,” McCook said. “We are especially excited about the eleven new members to the Highland Society for 2013. Their contributions will allow the Foundation to provide access to quality health care for every family in the communities we serve.”
The Skye Club is a group of people who have given at least $25,000 to Scotland Memorial Foundation since the year 2000. “It is an honor and pleasure to introduce five new members to the Skye Club,” Hobbs said. “The Foundation could not reach the level of success that it has achieved without loyal friends like these.”
