For Halloween fun without toil and trouble, readers of The Laurinburg Exchange’s print and online editions will have the chance to win cash by sharing their Halloween costumes online.
To commemorate Halloween and celebrate the creative spirit of its readership, The Laurinburg Exchange will host a Virtual Costume Party online, sponsored by Meggs Ford of Bennettsville, S.C.
The contest is open to photos of anyone from infants to seniors dressed to frighten, shock, and amuse in the spirit of Halloween.
Contest submissions opened on Saturday at midnight, and will close at midnight on Nov. 11. But ghosts, fairy princesses, superheroes, and others will want to post prior to Nov. 4, as voting will begin at 12 a.m. that day.
The winner will be selected by fellow contestants and website visitors, who can vote online for their favorite costume idea. The photo with the most votes by 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 11 will be declared the winner, and will be awarded with $150.
To enter or to vote, visit www.laurinburgexchange.com, wait for the Virtual Costume Party logo to appear on the right hand side of the page, and click. The direct contest link can be accessed at http://exchange.upickem.net/engine/Welcome.aspx?contestid=72958.
Participants can register through a Facebook account or by entering their information on the contest page.
