Mr. Eddie (Tommy) Williams, 68, of 104 McLeod St., Maxton died Oct. 30, 2009 at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Sandy Grove Baptist Church in Maxton. The Rev. Donnie Pratt will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Maxton Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Williams of the home; four sons, Eddie Williams, Jr. of Cordele, Ga., Derrik Tevon Williams, Sr. of Laurinburg, Kendell WIlliams of Jacksonville, Fla., and Larry Murphy of Red Springs; four daughters, Gena Ford of Kuwait, Connie Rose of Warrenton, PhaKeisha Murphy of Long Island, N.Y., and Shenelle Perry of Maxton; four sisters, Catherine Williams of Rock Hill, S.C., Myrtle Williams of Maxton, Dorothy Barnes of Bronx, N.Y., and Connie Evans of Mt. Vernon, N.Y.; one brother, Lonnie Williams of Plainfield, N.J.; 30 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
