The annual lighting of the Pilot Club of Laurinburg's Christmas luminaries will take place on Dec. 12, from 5 to 9 p.m. on Dogwood Mile at St. Andrews Presbyterian College.
In order for names of those being remembered or honored to appear in the brochure that will be given to those viewing the luminaries, they must be purchased no later than 5 pm. Monday. They may be purchased for $5 each from any
Pilot Club member or by contacting the Chairman, Rebecca Brooks, at 280-0768.
The Pilot Club appreciates St. Andrews Presbyterian College for allowing the luminaries to be displayed on their campus, an annual event,"Brooks said. "The club wishes to thank those in the community who purchase luminaries in order for their service projects related to brain disorders to be successful."
Some of the projects are Alzheimer's Support Group, Autism Enhancement Program, the Club's Green and Gold Awards and Banner Project for Exceptional Children, the BrainMinders Skit presented to local students on how to protect their brain and other worthwhile projects during the year.
"Thank you Scotland County citizens for allowing all of this to be possible," Brooks said. "The Pilot Club invites you to view the luminaries on December 12.
