Blondell Chance Clark, 80, of Laurinburg passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Edwin Morgan Center.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in the Wright Cemetery.

Blondell was born on January 26, 1933 in Scotland County, a daughter of the late George W. and Beatrice Marsh Chance. She was the devoted wife to the late Robert Peele Chance, Sr. She was a homemaker and textile worker retiring from Charles Craft after many years of service. She was a faithful and very active member of the Laurel Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church where she loved singing with the Choir. She enjoyed making crafts, cooking and gardening. She was a precious mother that will truly be missed.

Mrs. Clark was also preceded in death by her siblings, Walter Chance, Eugene Chance, Mary Wallace and Annie Dutch.

Surviving are her children, a son, Robert Chance of Laurinburg; three daughters, Brenda Kelly and husband Hilton of Laurel Hill, Betty Pate and husband Paul of Hamlet, Barbara Sessoms and husband Harold of Hamlet; sisters, Ruby Ross of Kannapolis, Kathleen Wiggins and husband Earl of Laurinburg, Georgia Tyndall of Laurel Hill, Bessie June of Murphy; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
