Anderson University posted a .333 hitting percentage en route to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-15) Conference Carolinas volleyball victory over host St. Andrews Presbyterian College during the Knights ‘Senior Day’ Saturday afternoon in Harris Court.

St. Andrews recognized its senior class before today’s match that features a trio of four-year letters winners for the Lady Knights including Galina Podolsky, Jaime Hayes and Tyler Lee.

The Trojans (18-11 Overall; 10-5 Conf.) won their third straight match behind an 18 kill performance by junior Jamie Lancaster, who finished with a staggering .567 hitting percentage.

Junior Lindsay Doggett led Anderson’s defense that held St. Andrews to a negative .017 hitting percentage with team-high totals of 10 digs and five blocks. Doggett was also productive on the offensive side of the ball with six kills on seven swings while serving up a match-high five aces.

Freshman Jessica Himalstein led the Lady Knights offense with seven kills. Classmate Kelly Stine followed with four kills.

Courtney McDonald – the Lady Knights fourth senior who transferred in for her final collegiate season – had a match-high 14 digs and two of the Knights four service aces.

Hayes was flirting with a double-double posting eight assists and eight digs for St. Andrews. Freshman Miranda Love chipped in with nine digs. Freshman Elysia Tiegs and junior Leah Davison both had two solo blocks for SAPC.

St. Andrews next visits league foe Mount Olive College on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Anderson travels to local arch rival Erskine College for a league tilt at the same time Tuesday.
