ROCKINGHAM — Scotland and Richmond played to a 2-2 tie Thursday night in a preview of Monday’s first-round Southeastern Conference tournament game.

Monday’s game, which is already set to happen based on the standings, will have to have a winner, so a shootout will be used after two 10-minute halves of overtime. However, that is not the case in the regular season.

Cherie Ellerbee scored the first goal for Richmond and Nile Fisher added the second.

Jordan Lewis bagged both goals from Scotland on set pieces to help get the game to overtime. However, neither team was able to break through for the victory. It was the third tie of the season for the Scots.

Scotland coach Danny Gallagher praised the performances of his team after the draw, the final game of the regular season. Monday’s game will be held at Scotland, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
