Arrests


LAURINBURG — Kanisha McBryde, 22, of 1201 Washington St., was arrested at her residence on Thursday and charged with misuse of a 911 system, according to a police report. She was held under a $300 bond.


LAURINBURG — Jahrel Lester, 21, of 1237 Donna Lane in Bennettsville, S.C., received an order for arrest on Wednesday for failure to appear in court, according to a police report. Authorities also took out warrants on him for communicating threats and assault. Lester was held under a $1,700 secured bond.


LAURINBURG — Antonio Brewington, 30, of Rockingham, was arrested Wednesday and charged with larceny at Dollar General, according to a police report. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond.


LAURINBURG — Shemeka Lowery, 38, of 232 Buck Spring Lane in Cheraw, S.C., was arrested on U.S. 74 on Wednesday in reference to a warrant for larceny, according to a police report. She was held under a $4,000 secured bond


LAURINBURG — Tyrone Smith, 35, of 113 Jones Ave. in Rockingham, received warrants on Wednesday for larceny, drug and traffic violations, according to a police report. He was held under a $4,000 secured bond.


GIBSON — Archie Dunn, 50, of 9620 Old Wire Road in Laurel Hill, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with felonious larceny of a firearm and misdemeanor larceny, according to a sheriff’s report. He was placed in the Scotland County Jail and held under a $1,000 bond.


Break-ins


LAURINBURG — Dikin Murphy, of Cemetery Road in Maxton, reported Wednesday that his vehicle was broken into and someone stole rims from the vehicle, along with a speaker box, tablet computer and debit card from inside, according to a police report. The estimated value of all the items stolen is $4,600.


Vandalism


LAURINBURG — James Patterson, of Cary Street, reported Wednesday that someone caused damage to Hazel Patterson’s vehicle, according to a police report. The incident occurred on North Main Street where someone damaged the windshield and scratched the hood.
