Arrests


LAURINBURG — Joshua Woodell, 22, of 107 Tennessee Drive in Lumberton was pulled over at a traffic stop on South Caledonia Road and charged with concealing a handgun on Monday, according to a police report.


Break-ins


LAURINBURG — Joshua Brown of Pineview Drive reported on Monday that someone entered his residence and stole stereo equipment, furniture and a pistol that is an antique firearm and in non-working condition, according to a police report. The items stolen are valued at about $1,500.


Vandalism


LAURINBURG — Kenneth Nichols of Blake Circle reported Monday that someone damaged his mailbox, according to a police report. The estimated cost of damage caused is valued at $25.


EAST LAURINBURG — Partners in Ministry of 12 Third St. reported Monday that someone took a piece of tin from the roof of the ministry’s building, according to a sheriff’s report. The damaged caused from the strip of tin being removed is valued at about $40.


Arson


LAURINBURG — A fire was reported at a residence on Gulf Street on Monday, according to a police report. A family of five, two adults and three children, resided there but no one was injured. The family was assisted by the Disaster Relief program with the Red Cross’s Scotland County Chapter and supplied with food, clothes, shoes and temporary housing. The cause of the fire is unknown and the case had been turned over to the investigators of the Laurinburg Police Department.
