Crime report for Nov. 26
LAURINBURG — Cedrick Gibson of Avery Street reported Saturday that he was getting into his vehicle at his home at around 8 p.m. when three unknown men began to shoot at him, according to a police report. Gibson ran in the opposite direction and when officers arrived they discovered that stray bullets struck a Buick and Isuzu that belonged to Andrew Fairley of Avery Street. No one was injured and neither Gibson or Fairley could give a description of the suspects. About $300 worth of damage were caused to Fairley’s vehicles.
LAUREL HILL — Walter Rountree, 38, of 729 N. Wilkinson Road in St. Pauls was arrested on Thursday and charged with carrying drug paraphernalia and driving while intoxicated, according to a sheriff’s report. Rountree did not receive a bond and was later released to his father at the magistrate’s office.
LAUREL HILL — Lonnie Ellerbe, 21, of 18523 Corbitt Road was charged Saturday with simple possession of marijuana, according to a sheriff’s report. Authorities seized .01 gram of a partially smoked marijuana bud that was in Ellerbe’s possession.
LAUREL HILL — Leonard Frizzell, 29, and Jonathan Frizzel, 27, both of 16563 Palmer Road in Marston, were each served with warrants and arrested on Sunday, according to a sheriff’s report. Leonard was charged with assault by pointing a gun. Jonathan was charged with assault on a female and served with outstanding warrants for in communicating threats, second degree trespassing and assault with a deadly weapon.
LAURINBURG — Christopher Worth of Carver Street reported Sunday that someone stole his brother’s bike, according to a police report. Worth said that he saw some kids run off with the bicycle that’s valued at about $60.
LAURINBURG — Sally McNeill of Wagram Street reported Sunday that someone stole a handgun valued at about $150 from her residence, according to a police report.
LAURINBURG — William Allen of Boykin Lane reported Friday that someone stole a shotgun valued at about $120 from his residence, according to a sheriff’s report.
LAURINBURG — Willie Smith of Railroad Street reported Sunday that someone kicked open the door to his residence and forced their way inside, according to a police report. Nothing has been reported missing at this time.
LAURINBURG — Latisha Fisher of Butler Street reported on Sunday that someone broke into her residence and took a television valued at about $600, according to a police report.
LAURINBURG — Benjamin Chavis of Turnpike Road reported Saturday that someone broke into a storage building at his residence and stole a riding lawn mower and utility trailer valued at about $3,000, according to a police report.
LAURINBURG — Arby’s, at 1400 South Main St., reported on Friday around 8 a.m. that someone caused about $3,000 damage to the building’s door and alarms and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the business’ safe, according to a police report.
LAURINBURG — Brittany Elvis of Bostic Road reported Saturday that someone pried open the back door to her residence and stole a washing machine and a dryer, according to a sheriff’s report. The washer and dryer valued at about $1,100 each.
WAGRAM — Andrea McNeill of Scottish Avenue reported Friday that someone broke into his home and stole two refrigerators, a deep freezer, a weight bench, assorted DVDs, paint supplies and gardening tools, according to a sheriff’s report. Together, all of the items stolen are valued at about $1,000.
LAURINBURG — Burnie Purcell of Azure Court reported Sunday, around 2 p.m., that someone scratched his 2006 Buick, according to a police report. Purcell’s vehicle was parked in the A.B. Gibson parking lot when someone vandalized it. The value of damage caused is about $100.
LAURINBURG — Leslie McKeever of Wagram Street reported Friday that someone threw a rock and damaged a window to her residence, according to a police report. The damage to the window was reported at about $65.
LAURINBURG — Joann Towery reported on Friday that someone shot and damaged a window at her home with a BB gun, causing $30 damage, according to a police report.
LAUREL HILL — James Larkin of McEachin Road reported Friday that someone shot into his residence and damaged the drywall, vinyl siding, plywood and a king sized mattress, according to a sheriff’s report. No one was injured and the shooting caused about $1,400 worth of damage to Larkin’s home.
