Crime report for Oct. 29

LAURINBURG — Delmarie Purbis, 30, of Phritz Street was arrested Sunday at the magistrate’s office for an outstanding warrant for assault, according to a police report.
LAURINBURG — Jessica Branch, 27, of McEachin Road was arrested Saturday for shoplifting at Walmart, according to a police report. She was held under a $2,500 bond.
LAURINBURG — A.D. McRae, 47, of Marks Creek Church Road was arrested Saturday for driving while intoxicated, failure to stop and driving while license revoked on Saturday, according to a police report.
LAURINBURG — Christina Scott, 37, of Charlie Watts Road was arrested Friday at Walmart for larceny and trespassing, according to a police report. Scott was held under a $4,000 bond.
LAURINBURG — Kola Oxendine, 34, of U.S. 501 in Maxton was arrested on Friday for larceny at Walmart, according to a police report. Oxendine was held under a $4,000 bond.
LAURINBURG — Terrence Smith, 17, of Oil Mill Road in Gibson was arrested Friday for disorderly conduct at Scotland High School, according to a police report. Smith was held under a $600 bond.
GIBSON — Donald York, 50, of 14041 Railroad Street was arrested and charged with failure to appear on Friday, according to a sheriff’s report. He was held under a $600 bond.
LAURINBURG — Samuel Gee, 82, of 8420 Peeles Chapel Road was arrested and charged on two counts with failure to appear, according to a sheriff’s report. He was held under a $500 bond.
LAURINBURG — Michelle McLean, 44, of 502 Wooster Street was arrested on Friday for possession with intent to sell and deliver and conspiracy to sell and deliver, according to a sheriff’s report. Officers seized 20 grams of marijuana that was in her possession and McLean was held under a $10,000 bond.
LAUREL HILL — A fire was reported on Andrew Jackson Highway on Friday, according to a sheriff’s report. More than $1,000 damage was done to William Skipper’s home and smoke damage was done to another residence’s home nearby.
LAURINBURG — Joyce Locklear of St. Johns Church Road reported a fraud on Saturday, according to a sheriff’s report. Someone was charging items to Locklear’s credit card without her permission.
LAURINBURG — Yanglin Ruan of Sunset Drive reported Sunday that someone broke into his residence and stole an undisclosed amount of money, documents, an iPad and computer, according to a police report.
LAURINBURG — Michael Morgan of Oakboro and Jacob Campbell of Lewisville each reported Sunday that someone broke into their vehicles while they were parked at St. Andrews University, according to a police report. Morgan reported two sunglasses and assorted hand tools were stolen from his vehicle and Campbell said that a GPS was taken from his.
LAURINBURG — Debra Christian of North Main Street reported Saturday that someone broke into her home and took a gaming system, assorted games, a space heater, a television and DVD player, according to a police report.
LAURINBURG — Brittany Martinez of Jackson Street reported a breaking and entering and larceny on Friday, according to a police report. About $40 worth of assorted medication was taken from her home.
GIBSON — Leonard Robinson of Samaritan Farm Road reported a breaking and entering, larceny and larceny of a motor vehicle on Friday, according to a sheriff’s report. Someone entered Robinson’s residence, took the keys to his Ford Ranger and stole the vehicle. The vehicle was valued at $3,500 and has since been returned, however, the keys are still missing.
LAURINBURG — A larceny was reported at the Kangaroo Express on Sunday, according to a police report. A 13-year-old girl and Kanisha McBryde, 22, of Washington Street stole $40 worth of candy. McBryde, a repeat offender, was charged with larceny, arrested and held under a $2,500 bond.
LAURINBURG — Kimberley Smith of Jacksonville, Fla. reported on Saturday that she left her purse on a bench at Cookout and when she returned it was gone, according to a police report. The purse contained money and assorted items.
