Micah 6:8 – “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?”
Too many people live lives of quiet desperation. Always worrying, fretting, and feeling like their prayers never bring peace. Negative attitudes thrive while positive attitudes die. Micah gives us three requirements that will make a tremendous impact upon our attitudes. The first step towards a positive attitude is to “do justly.” We must be honest, and live honestly. The negative attitude is on the inside. We need to admit it and confess it. The second step given is to “love mercy.” We need to seek to set things right. When we have right relationships with others we will have a positive attitude toward life. The third and final step is to “walk humbly with your God.” Let God search us; let Him disclose to us what is out of place. It takes faith to have a submissive mind, because humility is so contradictory to the world’s way of thinking. When we have humble, submissive minds we will have a positive attitude. Doing this will give you a New Hope for Today.
