LAURINBURG — The Pilot Club of Laurinburg will again this year feature luminaries on Dogwood Mile at St. Andrews University. About 1,400 luminaries are expected to be glowing with battery-lit candles on the mile-long path from 5-9 p.m. on Dec. 14.

The luminaries will represent family members and area residents, in memory or honor of. A brochure with each name will be printed and handed out to each car as they pass the luminaries.

Luminaries may be purchased for $5 each from any member of the Pilot Club until Dec. 6.

Money raised will go towards Alzheimer’s Awareness, Autism Enhancement Programs and Educations projects including BrainMinders, Grants for Autistic Classroom Teachers, Scotland High School Anchor Club and high school scholarships.
