HAMLET — Mike Lewis, a Continuing Education teacher with Workforce Development at The Honeycutt Center of Richmond Community College, was recently awarded The NC Career and Technical Education Teacher of The Year. He received the award at The NCACTE Summer Conference held in Greensboro. He also is the Carpentry Teacher at The Robeson County Career Center.
Lewis has served as President of The NC Trade and Industrial Teachers for two terms. He has been an Executive Board Member of NCACTE several times and has served on many NCACTE committees as well. Lewis is a member of The NC SkillsUSA Board of Directors and is a National Education Team member of SkillsUSA. He is very active with CTE and CTE Student Organizations at the local, regional, state, and national levels.
