HAMLET — Richmond Community College Small Business Center and a state nonprofit that works to support North Carolina entrepreneurs are teaming up to offer an informational series for those who are interested in starting a business.

Scholarships will be available to attendees through a grant awarded to North Carolina Rural Enterprise through Action Learning. The series typically costs $70 plus $25 for the course book.

These classes will be offered at the Cole Auditorium at Richmond Community College, located at 1042 West Hamlet Avenue in Hamlet. Classes start Oct. 8 and will run until Nov. 7. Each three-hour class and will begin at 9 a.m. and end at noon.

The eight-class series walks students through the entire business-planning process. Each class focuses on one specific part of the business plan. By the end of the eight classes, a rough draft of the business plan should be complete.

Pre-registration is required. Register online at tiny.cc/ncrealworld or contact Deborah Hardison at 910-410-1687 or ddhardisond@richmondcc.edu.
