LAURINBURG — Two Laurinburg teenagers reported missing last week have since been found safe.
Angelique Spencer, 15, was found at her friend’s home in the Washington Park area on Monday around noon, accroding to Police Chief Darwin Williams. She was last seen leaving her Purcell Road home early on the previous Tuesday.
“She’s in good health,” Williams said.
Thirteen-year-old Tiarra Yvonne Monley was found at her home on Tuskegee Drive Friday afternoon. A police officer conducting a follow-up visit found her with her mother, Laura Monley, who had reported Tiarra missing on the previous Monday.
Assistant Police Chief Cliff Sessoms said that Tiarra had traveled to Monroe before returning home.
Both teenagers reportedly left their homes without permission, prompting caregivers to contact authorities. The cases were treated as runaways.
