ROCKINGHAM — Two Raeford men are being held in the Richmond County jail under a combined $60,000 bond for multiple break-ins in Scotland and the surrounding counties over the course of two years.
Darren McLean, 42, of 313 South Main Street and Reginald McCall, 26, of 159 Centerpen Road, were charged in May with multiple break-ins in the Richmond County area, according to Scotland County Sheriff’s Investigator Marcus Brown. The Scotland County Sheriff’s Office on June 3 charged each with additional offenses.
McLean is charged with eight counts each of felonious breaking and entering, felonious larceny after breaking and entering and conspiracy after breaking and entering. He was held under a $25,000 secured bond.
McCall faces with 10 counts of felonious breaking and entering, felonious larceny after breaking and entering and conspiracy after breaking and entering. He was held under a $35,000 secured bond.
Brown said that McCall and McLean had been “breaking and entering multiple homes in the Scotland County area and other surrounding counties as well over the course of two years or so.”
