FAIRMONT — Two men were arrested this week after narcotics agents say they found about 60 marijuana plants and several guns in their home, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.

The search was prompted by complaints from the community, including that there was excessive traffic going in and out of the Annease Drive home, according to Randall Graham, a Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.

After sheriff’s deputies were given permission to enter the home, they called narcotics agents from the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office to search it, Graham said. They found the marijuana plants along with prescription pills, pistols, shotguns and rifles, Graham said.

David Wayne Hunt, 23, and Dudley Hunt, 26, are each facing felony charges of manufacturing marijuana and trafficking in opium or heroin, meaning at least 4 grams of pills were found in the home.

They have both been released from the Robeson County Detention Center on $20,000 bonds each. David Wayne Hunt was also charged with animal cruelty.

It was unclear if the men are related.
