Arrests

LAURINBURG — Levern Crawford, 54, of 5420 Village Drive was arrested on Monday for assault by pointing a gun, communicating threats, and criminal damage to property, according to a sheriff’s report. Crawford was held without bond.

Shootings

LAURINBURG — A resident of the 300 block on North Gill Street reported a shooting into the occupied dwelling at approximately 5 a.m. on Monday, according to a police report. Inside the residence were two adults and one juvenile. No one was injured.

LAURINBURG — A resident of the 200 block on Center Street reported a shooting into the occupied dwelling at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to a police report. No one was injured.

LAURINBURG — A 2007 Dodge Charger and two houses on the 700 block of Mill Street were shot into on Sunday, according to a police report. No one was injured.

LAURINBURG — A resident of the 1,000 block on Raleigh Street reported a shooting into the occupied dwelling at approximately 11 p.m. on Saturday, according to a police report. Inside the residence were one adult, a 3-year-old and a newborn. No one was injured.

Theft

LAURINBURG — A resident of Old Wire Road reported the larceny of a Jimenez pistol on Sunday, according to a sheriff’s report.

LAURINBURG — Harvey Edge Farm located on 1014 Produce Market Road reported a computer, monitor and vacuum cleaner stolen on Monday according to a police report. The total value was $350.

LAUREL HILL — A resident of Jesse Smith Road reported a breaking and entering and larceny on Sunday, according to a sheriff’s report. The water heaters and air conditioning units were reported stolen from two adjacent homes.

MAXTON — Jackson’s Diesel Service on Andrew Jackson Highway reported a larceny on Saturday, according to a sheriff’s report. Three rolls of black coated chain link fence were reported stolen.

LAURINBURG — Community Mart on Andrew Jackson Highway reported the larceny of a can of soda, a pack of cigarettes, and a pack of peanuts, according to a sheriff’s report.
