RALEIGH — The manager of the North Carolina Department of Commerce’s Division of Workforce Solutions in Laurinburg will graduate on Oct. 7 from the North Carolina Certified Public Manager Program with the distinction of Certified Public Manager.
Betty J. Galloway, of Laurinburg, manages the local employment services office in Scotland County and oversight for Hoke County. Galloway completed 300 hours of course work and service delivery improvement project within her own organization. She will graduate from the 16-month program at 2 p.m. at the North Carolina Museum of History in Raleigh.
A native of Scotland County, Galloway is the daughter of Louella Johnson and the wife of Don L. Galloway.
This is the thirty-fifth class to complete the program since it began in 1981. The Certified Public Manager designation is granted by authority of the National Certified Public Manager Consortium, which has reviewed and accredited the state Certified Public Manager Program.
