Break in

LAURINBURG – A resident of McGirts Bridge Road reported to police on Wednesday that someone broke into a storage building and stole a PoaTao moped valued at $750.

Robbery

LAURINBURG – A resident of Nichols Street reported to police on Tuesday that she answered a knock at her back door and was confronted by a man with a gun. The man forced his way into the home where he hit another occupant with the gun and robbed the two of an undisclosed amount of cash.

LAURINBURG – A resident of Lees Mill Road reported to police on Tuesday that a female acquaintance approached him and asked to use his phone. He stayed on the porch while she went inside. She returned and asked for money. When he refused she began to search his pockets. The man pulled a gun and shot at the robber’s feet. She snatched the gun away from him and fled.

Vandalism

LAURINBURG – A resident of Tartan Road reported to the sheriff’s office on Tuesday that someone broke the exterior windows on the home leaving $200 in damages.

Arrests

LAURINBURG – Shawndrick Dockery, 19, of Sally McNair Road, was charged with unauthorized use of a conveyance, hit and run and damage to property and given a $7,500 secured bond, according to police.

LAURINBURG – Tera Monley, 26, of Speller Street, was charged with parole and probation violations and given a $5,000 secured bond, according to police.

LAURINBURG – Marcus Godley, 27, of Cronly Street, was charged with failure to pay child support, and given a $300 bond, according to the sheriff’s office.

LAURINBURG – Joshua Alexander Cook, 37, was charged with misdemeanor failure to appear and misdemeanor communicating threats and received no bond, according to the sheriff’s office.
