Arrests

LAURINBURG — Stephon McEachin, 26, of 16565 Branch Road, Marston was arrested at 5 a.m. on Saturday for shots fired at 1009 South Caledonia Road and a car accident on Hall Street according to a police report. McEachin is accused of shooting at a house where two people were sleeping. The report said McEachin’s vehicle struck a parked car head on as he was leaving. He was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, firing into an occupied dwelling, discharging a firearm to incite fear, driving under the influence, careless and reckless driving, and his license was revoked for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was placed under a $100,000 secured bond.

LAURINBURG — Larry David, 54, of 309 East Vance Street was arrested on Saturday for having shells and casings on his front porch, according to a police report. He was also charged with loud music and a discharging firearm in city limits. He was placed under a $250 secured bond.

Shots fired

LAURINBURG —A resident of Blakely Road reported that someone shot at him while communicating threats near his home around 10 p.m. on Friday, according to a sheriff’s report. No injuries were reported.

LAURINBURG — A resident of the 600 block of Hall Street reported a shooting into his property on Saturday, according to a police report. The bullet struck the kitchen window.

LAURINBURG — A resident of the 400 block of East Vance Street reported damage to property on Sunday after observing bullet holes in the bedroom wall and a projectile, according to a police report.

LAURINBURG — A resident of the 700 block of First Street reported damage to residence on Sunday after a bullet struck the house, according to a police report.

Thefts

LAURINBURG — A resident of the 700 block of Nichols Street reported waking up to an unknown male running out of the residence. The report said 22-inch flat screen was stolen.

LAURINBURG — A resident of the 400 block of Beta Street reported an air conditioner stolen on Monday, according to police. The total value was $200.

LAURINBURG — A resident of North Gill Street reported a 42-inch flat screen television stolen on Sunday, according to a police report. The total value was $550.

LAURINBURG — A resident of the 200 block of Phritz Street reported a PlayStation 4 stolen on Sunday, according to a police report. The total value was $700.

LAURINBURG —A resident of the 200 block of Pitt Street reported a stolen laptop and PlayStation 4 on Friday, according to a police report. The total value was $1,000.

LAURINBURG — A resident of Taylor Road reported a John Deere zero turn lawn mower stolen on Friday, according to a sheriff’s report. The mower was valued at $10,000.
