Arrests


LAURINBURG — Artemis Robinson, 26, of 961 Captain St., was arrested and charged Saturday with driving while impaired and resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer and held under a $1,500 secured bond, according to a police report. Robinson was the driver of a silver Cadillac that was pulled over at the intersection of McClellan and Carver streets for suspicion of possessing guns. No weapons were found inside the vehicle Robinson was driving.


Three passengers, Antonio Robinson, 24, also of 961 Captain St., Dejaris Fields, 25, of 1313 Terra Drive and Taeon McNair, 24, of 17160 Highland Road were also charged with resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer. Each were held under a $500 secured bond.


LAURINBURG — Sydmal Currie, 27, of 918 Biggs St., Jonathan McLaurin, 32, of 24381 Springhill Road in Wagram and Bradford Johnson, 29, of 9220 Price St., were arrested Saturday at the Scotland Inn after officers found drug-related items inside a room Bradford had rented, according to a police report. They were charged with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, simple possession and drug paraphernalia, however, their bond amount was unavailable at press time.


LAUREL HILL — Trent Hunt, 22, of 14154 Highway 130 in Maxton, was arrested Friday and charged with domestic violence order violation, assault on a female and was served with an order for arrest out of Robeson County, according to a sheriff’s report.


Break-ins


LAURINBURG — Krystal Hargrove, of Midland Way, reported Sunday that someone stole jewelry, a checkbook, prescription medication, television and her social security card, valued at nearly $2,000, according to a police report.


LAURINBURG — King Love, of South Pine Street, reported on Sunday that someone broke into his home through a bedroom window and stole a pistol, shotgun and morphine, valued at about $510, according to a police report.


LAURINBURG — Patricia Purcell, of Biggs Street, reported Sunday that someone took an Xbox gaming system, video games, controllers and a television, valued at about $1,250, according to a police report. The thief also caused about $50 damage to her front door.


LAURINBURG — Karen Odum, of Peden Street, reported Saturday that someone broke into her unlocked vehicle parked in her driveway and stole an Xbox gaming system and two video games, valued at about $260, according to a police report.


EAST LAURINBURG — East Laurinburg Sweepstakes, at Andrew Jackson Highway, reported on Friday that someone stole money from the business, according to a police report. The case is still under investigation.


Theft


LAURINBURG — It was reported on Saturday that about $220 is missing from the drop box of Quality Inn, according to a police report. The case is still under investigation.


Shooting


LAURINBURG — Robert McRae, of Morgan Circle, reported Saturday that as he was walking along Caledonia Road around 9:55 p.m. when someone fired a gun at him and struck his left pinky finger, according to a police report. McRae was unable to provide a description of the shooter. He was later treated and released from Scotland Memorial Hospital.
