Arrests


LAURINBURG — Quonte Farmer, 28, of 20225 Lee Lane was arrested on Monday and charged with felonious possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felonious maintaining a drug vehicle, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police. He was also issued a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign. Farmer was placed under a $32,000 secured bond.


LAURINBURG — Moses Campbell, 57, of 1407 Hickory St. was charged on Monday with one count of assault on a female and one count of communicating threats, according to police. Campbell was released under a written promise to appear in court.


LAUREL HILL - Phillip Jernigan, 35, of 7301 Andrew Jackson Highway, was arrested Monday under a warrant for one count of communicating threats, according to a sheriff’s report.


Break-ins


LAURINBURG — A breaking and entering was reported on Monday at 1336 Sunset Drive, according to police. Nothing was reported stolen.


LAURINBURG — Devour Hodges of West Covington Street reported a breaking and entering and larceny from his vehicle on Monday, according to police. He reported the theft of a .38 handgun after he left his home, stopped at the Express Stop on South Main Street, and travelled to Raeford.


LAURINBURG — Laurinburg Church of the Nazarene on 1121 Turnpike Road reported a breaking and entering and larceny on Monday, according to police. An undisclosed amount of currency was taken from the church and a rifle was reported missing from the parsonage.


WAGRAM — Eric Ferrell reported that someone attempted to use his Social Security number to obtain unemployment benefits, according to a sheriff’s report.


LAUREL HILL — Oxendine’s Produce on Andrew Jackson Highway reported a breaking and entering and larceny on Monday, according to a sheriff’s report. Items stolen included 13 packs of cheese, 10 packs of peanuts, and four half bushels of green butter beans.


LAUREL HILL — Djuana Quick reported vandalism to a vehicle on Fieldcrest Road on Monday, according to a sheriff’s report.
