Arrests


LAURINBURG — Alandria Brown, of 807 Jackson St., was served with warrants out of Richmond County for simple assault and trespassing on Tuesday, according to a police report. She signed a written promise to appear in court.


LAURINBURG — Rachel Smiling, 37, of 707 Duncan St., was arrested Monday for communicating threats, according to a police report. She signed a written promise to appear in court.


LAURINBURG — Takia Collins, 32, of 920 Apt. D Fairmont St., was arrested Monday and charged with two counts of simple assault, according to a police report. She signed a written promise to appear in court.


LAURINBURG — Scottie Williams, 27, of 10880 South Turnpike Road, was arrested Monday and charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and injury to personal property, according to a police report. He signed a written promise to appear in court.


LAURINBURG — Kelvin Miles, 22, of 10660 Stewartsville Road, was served with an order for arrest Monday for failure to appear in court, according to a police report. He was held under a $100 secured bond.


LAURINBURG — Michelle Davis, 22, of 361 Knox St., was served with a warrant Monday for communicating threats, according to a police report. She signed a written promise to appear in court.


LAURINBURG — Quentin McRae, 28, of 13081 Church St., was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear in court, according to a police report. He was held under a $20,000 secured bond.


LAURINBURG — Nykia Love, 18, of 19720 Creed St., was served a warrant Monday for misdemeanor simple assault, according to a sheriff’s report. She signed a written promise to appear in court.


Break-ins


LAURINBURG — Craig Ferguson, of West Scotsdale Road, reported Monday that someone stole a 6-gallon gas container from a storage building at his home, according to a police report.


LAUREL HILL — Tommy Ellis, of Shannon Drive, reported Monday that someone broke into a storage building at his home and stole assorted items, valued at about $278, according to a sheriff’s report.


Thefts


LAURINBURG — Golden Corral reported on Monday, around 9 p.m., that a man walked into the business through the exit, ate from the buffet and was going to leave without paying before the restaurant’s manager approached him, according to a police report. The man began to cause a disturbance by throwing a plate on the floor and yelling profanity at employees. He was described as a black man with a short, military-style haircut, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, about 200 pounds and wearing a gray t-shirt and blue jeans. He fled the scene before police officers arrived on the scene.


LAURINBURG — Walmart reported Monday that a woman stole a television and computer monitor, valued at about $200, from the store, according to the police report. She put the merchandise in her shopping cart, walked out of Walmart without paying for them and loaded them inside a small, silver four-door car. She was last seen traveling south on N.C. 401.


LAURINBURG — Augusta Roper, of Gulf Street, reported on Monday, around noon, that a black man wearing a mask walked into his yard with a gun in hand and demanded money, according to a police report. The man was described as about 6 feet, 3 inches tall, about 190 pounds, wearing a black shirt and pants. Roper tried to lock himself in his home but the man pushed against the door and they got into a scuffle before the man fled through the back of Roper’s home to escape. No items were reported stolen and Roper was left with a small scratch mark under his left eye.


LAUREL HILL — Charles Norris, of McFarland Road, reported Monday that someone stole black architect shingles, valued at about $325, from his home, according to a sheriff’s report.


LAURINBURG — Harlod Hackler, of Crestline Road, reported on Monday that someone stole a 6-month-old black Labrador Retriever, valued at about $300, from his yard, according to a sheriff’s report.


GIBSON — Tommy Jernigan, of East Gibson Avenue in McColl, S.C., reported Monday that someone stole yard tools and equipment, valued at about $330, from the back of his truck on Main Street, according to a sheriff’s report.


LAURINBURG — Brandy Gillis, of Salley McNair Road, reported Monday that someone stole a black water pump, valued at about $150, from her home, according to a sheriff’s report.


MAXTON — Scotland Manufacturing, of Skyway Church Road, reported Monday that someone stole scrap aluminium and scrap steel, valued at about $700, from the business’ property, according to a sheriff’s report.


Vandalism


LAURINBURG — Justino Rogel-Flores, of West Boulevard, reported Tuesday that someone threw a brick through the front passenger window to his pickup truck, causing about $200 damage, according to a police report.
