LAURINBURG — Scotland Memorial Foundation will hold its 13th Annual FUNd Run-4-Life on April 29.

The event is open to the serious runner, exercise enthusiast or just someone ready for an outdoor stroll.

Participants can take part in half marathon or 5K run/walk. Families can also take part in the fun 1-mile stroll as part of the ribbon walk around the hospital campus. Each race begins at the Community Health and Rehabilitation Center on the Scotland Memorial Hospital campus.

The event raises money for cancer and diabetes patients. The goal last year was $40,000.

During past events, food vendors set up near the Community Health and Rehabilitation Center, and community health organizations manned information booths. A play zone with bounce houses, a trackless train, face painting, and other games were open to youngsters.
