LAURINBURG — The Brian Rush scholarship committee will host a scholarship dinner Feb. 11 at the St. John Educational Building at 17160 Plant Road at 5 p.m. Tickets for adults are $15, age 10 – 12 $10.
Brian Rush graduated from Scotland High School in 2001 and attended North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro. He died July 3, 2010 at age 27 from cancer.
The family decided to create the scholarship in his memory to help a Scotland High senior with his or her higher education.
