Arrests

LAURINBURG —Darryl Dean Law, 34, of 1602 Bronco Drive in Laurinburg, was arrested for felony charges of counterfeiting and fraud, according to police. Law allegedly passed counterfeit bills at McDonald’s in May. He was placed in the Scotland County jail under a $10,000 bond.

Robbery

LAURINBURG — A Laurinburg man reported at 3 a.m. Wednesday that four men robbed him at gunpoint at the Scotland Inn, according to police. Cash, two cell phones and assorted scratch-off cards were reportedly stolen.

Break-ins

LAURINBURG — A break-in was reported Tuesday at C & J Smooth Cuts, 104 E. Bizzell St., according to police. Five pairs of clippers were reported stolen, at a value of $130.

LAURINBURG — A window air-conditioning unit was reported stolen Wednesday from a home on the 400 block of Midland Way, according to police. The unit was valued at $60.

LAUREL HILL — A resident of the 15400 block of Oak Street reported that someone took two .38-caliber revolvers and a .22-caliber rifle from his home, according to a sheriff’s report.

LAURINBURG — A resident of the 17300 block of McFarland Road reported Tuesday that someone took two televisions and a gaming system, valued at a total of $900, and damaged a door and door frame, causing a total of $400 damage.

Thefts

LAURINBURG — Damage to three outdoor air-conditioning units was reported Tuesday on the 500 block of Atkinson Street, according to police. Damage was reported at $500.

WAGRAM — A resident of the 27340 block of Harris Street reported Tuesday that someone took a 2009 Saturn from the intersection of Aberdeen and Arch McLean roads, according to a sheriff’s report. The vehicle was valued at $9,500.

LAURINBURG — A resident of the 40 block of Fifth Street reported Thursday that someone took a pitbull valued at $1,500 from his yard, according to a sheriff’s report.

Vandalism

LAURINBURG — It was reported Wednesday that someone placed items on top of a 1997 Lincoln Towncar and set them ablaze, according to police. Damage to the car was reported at $500.
