Break in

LAURINBURG – A resident of Douglas Street reported to police on Monday that someone broke into his 1999 Buick Regal and stole a Taurus 40 caliber pistol valued at $450 leaving $100 damage to the truck.

LAURINBURG – A resident of Sunset Drive reported to police on Tuesday that someone broke into his car and stole school supplies, football gear and a Chromebook computer belonging to Scotland County Schools valued at $600 leaving $100 damage to the locks.

LAURINBURG – A resident of Andrews Drive reported to police on Tuesday that someone broke into the home and stole a 60-inch television valued at $538 and left $200 damage to a window.

Larceny

LAURINBURG – A resident of Washington Street reported to police on Monday that someone stole his central air conditioning unit valued at $3,000 from the property.

Arrests

LAURINBURG – Franklin Britt, 39, of Cooper Street was arrested for contempt of court and given no bond, according to police.

LAURINBURG – Michael Wedmer, 44, of US HWY 74 West in Lumberton was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court following a traffic stop and given a $1,000 bond.

LAURINBURG – Ali McEachin, 35, West Bizzell Street was arrested for disorderly conduct following a traffic stop and given a $2,500 secured bond.
