LAURINBURG – A resident of Sycamore Lane reported to police on Wednesday that someone broke into the home and stole an Xbox One, an undisclosed amount of cash and checks.

LAURINBURG – A resident of Beta Street reported to police on Thursday that someone broke into her car and stole her purse containing blank checks, a wallet, assorted medications two Social Security cards and two Medicaid cards.

LAURINBURG – A resident of Fairley Street reported to police on Thursday that someone broke into her 2006 and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses.

LAURINBURG – A resident of Turnpike Road reported to police on Thursday that someone broke into two vehicles on the property and stole a wallet, two debit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash.

LAURINBURG – A resident of Turnpike Road reported to police on Friday that someone broke into her 2001 Chevrolet and stole a set of keys and a pair of sunglasses.

LAURINBURG – A resident of Parliament Avenue reported to the sheriff’s office on Thursday that someone stole a bottle of methadone valued at $16 from the home.

GIBSON – A resident of Tobacco Road reported to the sheriff’s office on Thursday that someone broke into the home and stole a 40-inch television valued at $350 from the home.

Assault

LAURINBURG – A resident of Laurinburg reported to police on Wednesday that an unidentified person took his cane and hit him over the head with it at Laurinburg Food Mart on Lees Mill Road.

Larceny

LAURINBURG – A resident of St. Andrews University reported to police on Wednesday that someone stole a pair of Oakley sunglasses from his dorm room valued at $300.

LAURINBURG – O’ Riley Auto Parts on Main Street reported to police on Wednesday that an employee stole seals and bearings valued at $18 from the store. Justin Snead, 20, of McFarland Road, was arrested for larceny by an employee and given a $1,500 secured bond, according to police.

LAURINBURG – A resident of Hasty Road reported to police on Wednesday that someone stole a blue and white boys’ bicycle valued at $200 from the property.

LAURINBURG – A resident of Turnpike Road reported to police on Thursday that someone stole a blue and grey VIP scooter valued at $1,000 from the property.

Robbery

LAURINBURG – A resident of Old Lumberton Road reported to police on Wednesday that an acquaintance displayed a stun gun and demanded his Adidas sneakers valued at $90 at a home on Douglas Street.

Arrests

LAURINBURG – Jamar Lee Harris, 27, of Ray Street, was arrested for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, driving while license revoked and failure to heed blue light/siren and cited for a broken taillight. Upon arrest it was discovered that Harris had outstanding warrants out of Hoke County for DWI, revoked registration and injury to real property and warrants for a probation violation in Scotland County. Harris was given a $30,000 secured bond, according to police.

WAGRAM – Cody Wayne Smith, 27, of Harold Morris Road, was arrested for simple assault, communicating threats and trespassing and given a written promise to appear, according to the sheriff’s office.
