Break in

GIBSON – A resident of Main Street reported to the sheriff’s office on Thursday that someone broke into the home and stole a shotgun valued at $400.

MARSTON – A resident of Aberdeen Road reported to the sheriff’s office on Thursday that someone broke into the home and stole a Maltese/ Yorkie mix dog and small mirror total value $110 leaving $150 damage to the door.

Larceny

WAGRAM – A resident of Ace Drive reported to the sheriff’s office on Sunday that someone stole his 2013 white, Ford Econo-line work van – with North Carolina license plate HF4016 – valued at $15,000 from the property.

LAURINBURG – An employee of Nic’s Pic Kwik number 9 on McColl Road reported to police on Tuesday that a man came in the store and asked for two packs of Newport cigarettes and a White Owl cigar wrapper, when the employee placed the items in a bag the man grabbed them and ran out of the store.

Domitrice Hakeem Ellison, 21, of Kennedy Street was arrested for larceny and given a $1,500 secured bond.

LAURINBURG – A resident of Hasty Road reported to police on Tuesday that someone stole a utility trailer valued at $700 from the property.

LAURINBURG – An employee of Nic’s Pic Kwik number 1 on Aberdeen Road reported to police on Tuesday that a man entered the store and began putting items in his pockets. When the employee confronted him, the man put some of the items back and fled the store. He was last seen in a green Kia with a 30 day tag being driven by a heavy-set woman.

LAURINBURG – Manis Custom Builders on Crestline Road reported to the sheriff’s office on Wednesday that an employee stole 1000 feet of 12/2 gauge wire valued at $580.

MAXTON – A resident of Benton Drive reported to the sheriff’s office on Wednesday that someone stole her window unit air conditioner valued at $110.

LAUREL HILL – A resident of Snead’s Grove Road reported to the sheriff’s office that someone stole a 9 mm handgun, ammunition and holster valued at $680.

Fraud

LAURINBURG – A resident of McNair Avenue reported to police on Tuesday that someone stole her debit card and used the ATM to withdraw an undisclosed amount of cash.

Arrests

LAURINBURG – Brenda Mitchel, 49, of Gill Street was arrested for trespassing and communicating threats and given a $500 secured bond, according to police.

LAURINBURG – Danny Ray Cooper, 34, of Lees Mill Road was arrested for larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny and given a $20,000 secured bond, according to the sheriff’s office.

LAURINBURG – Allen Brian Chavis, 35, of Gill Street was arrested for felony larceny and obtaining property by false pretense and given a $15,000 secured bond, according to the sheriff’s office.

LAURINBURG – Tim Johnson, 56, of Crestline Road was arrested for second degree trespassing and communicating threats and given a written promise to appear, according to the sheriff’s office.

LAURINBURG – Shymeek Dudley, 20, of Price Street was arrested for communicating threats and given a written promise to appear, according to the sheriff’s office.
