Man charged in Laurinburg auto shop break-in

LAURINBURG – A Laurinburg man was arrested following a break-in at Hickman’s Performance Center auto repair.

Timothy Williams, 49, of East Church Street, has been charged with eight counts of breaking into a motor vehicle and given a $30,000 bond, according to Assistant Police Chief Cliff Sessoms.

The break-ins happened earlier Wednesday morning, police said.

Williams entered the fenced area and broke into eight vehicles stored there, according to police. There is no information on what was taken from the cars.
