Missing Person

LAURINBURG – A resident of Wagram reported to police that his son got on the school bus to Scotland High School Tuesday morning but never returned home. Clifton Ross is a 16-year-old white male, standing five feet two inches and weighing 95 pounds. He has dark brown hair and brown eyes, with a cut shaved into both eyebrows. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, red and black pants and white Air Force One sneakers. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call Laurinburg Police Department at 910-276-3211.

Break in

LAURINBURG – An employee of the Murphy USA located at Walmart Shopping Center reported to police on Tuesday that she entered the stockroom to find a man had broken in and was stealing cigarettes. The man stuffed two cartons of cigarettes, total value $104, in his clothes and ran. He left the store in a light colored SUV.

LAURINBURG – A resident of Pinewood Park Apartments reported to police on Wednesday that he saw a man walking through the parking lot trying to break into cars around 1 a.m. The robber stood five feet tall and weighed 120 pounds and was wearing a grey hoodie, blue jeans, and black shoes.

Vandalism

LAURINBURG – A resident of Elizabeth Drive reported to police on Tuesday that someone used a key to scratch his car on the side and rear causing $200 in damages.

Fraud

LAURINBURG – A resident of Old Wire Road reported to police on Wednesday that someone used her bank card information to make purchases at Carlie C’s IGA and Redbox totaling $231.

EAST LAURINBURG – A resident of Neck Road in McColl, S.C. reported to the sheriff’s office on Tuesday that someone stole a check and cashed it at East Laurinburg Community Mart.
