Break in

LAURINBURG – A resident of Lumberton reported to police on Saturday that someone stole power tools, hand tools and a push mower, all valued at $1,150 from a residence he was renovating on Purcell Street.

Assault

LAURINBURG – A resident of Highland Drive reported to police on Saturday that he had been stabbed by an unknown man on Marcellus Street. The victim refused to cooperate with police.

LAURINBURG – A resident of Lincoln Street reported to police on Monday that someone cut three tires on her Ford Explorer and threw an object through a bedroom window which hit her 10-year-old child in the head. Damages to the vehicle total $300 and damages to the window total $150.

Robbery

LAURINBURG – An employee of Domino’s Pizza reported to police on Saturday that she was attempting to deliver a pizza at a residence on McDougald Avenue when a man wearing a black and white bandana on his face approached her, brandished a gun and told her give him everything. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and ran toward Caledonia Road.

LAURINBURG – A resident of McGirts Bridge Road reported to police on Sunday that two men followed him from Beta Street to the playground at I Ellis Johnson School. One man approached and asked for alcohol and to use the victim’s phone. The other man attacked victim from behind and choked him. The men ran down Beta Street. Anyone with information is asked to call 910-276-3211.

Larceny

LAURINBURG – A resident of Belk Circle reported to police that someone stole her iPhone 7 valued at $700 from her cart while she was shopping in Walmart.

Vandalism

LAURINBURG – a resident of South Main Street reported to police on Sunday that someone shot at two vehicles during a fight at the residence. A Dodge Charger belonging to the resident received $100 damage to the windshield, and a Ford Taurus belonging to a Lees Mill Road resident received $400 in damages.

Fighting

LAURINBURG – Police answered a call for a fight at Greenfield Apartments on Turnpike Road on Sunday and found two women fighting. Officers attempted to separate the two women who continued to fight. Both women were arrested. Amanda Dunn, 24, of Turnpike Road was charged with simple affray and given a $500 bond, according to police. Brittanie Hunt, 25, of Boykin Lane was charged with simple affray and given a $500 bond, according to police.

Arrests

LAURINBURG –Christopher McElroy, 28, of Laurinburg, was arrested on charges of larceny from Walmart and given a $1,000 secured bond, according to police.

LAURINBURG – Ronnie McRae, 24, of Clio was arrested on charges of hit and run after he left the scene of an accident at Scotland Crossing Shopping Center and given a $500, according to police.

LAURINBURG – Christine Hunt, 33, of Quail Run was arrested on charges of larceny and trespassing at Belk at Scotland Crossing Shopping Center and given a $3,000 secured bond, according to police.

LAURINBURG – Barbara Hunt, 65, of Lumberton was arrested on charges of larceny from Belk at Scotland Crossing Shopping Center and given a $2,500 secured bond, according to police.

LAURINBURG – Linda Hunt, 63, of Lumberton was arrested on charges of larceny, resist delay and obstruct and traffic violations and given a $6,500 secured bond, according to police.
